Manyara gets its name from a plant called “euphorbia tirucalli” (emanyara) in Maasai, which Maasai people used to protect their animals from dangerous hunters. Lake Manyara public park is an amazing heaven of ground water backwoods tended to by regular underground springs. Although Lake Manyara is a small park, it is highly impressive and home to abundant natural life such as birds.

The most famous interest is tree climbing lions, which draws visitors from all over the world to Lake Manyara to witness these incredible hunters yearning in the trees.
